Ingredients
– 600 g fresh green beans
– 1 cup sliced mushrooms
– 1 medium onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 30 g butter
– 2 cups vegetable broth
– 1 cup milk
– 2 tablespoons flour
– 1 cup breadcrumbs
– 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2. Trim the green beans and blanch them in boiling water for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
3. In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add onions and cook until soft. Stir in mushrooms and garlic, cooking until tender.
4. Whisk together the flour, vegetable broth, and milk in a bowl. Pour this mixture into the pan and stir until thickened. Add soy sauce, then mix in the green beans.
5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top, then bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
