Delicious Greek Braised Pork With Orange Honey And Peppers Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 kg pork shoulder, cut into chunks
– 2 red bell peppers, sliced
– 1 large onion, chopped
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 cup orange juice
– 2 tbsp honey
– 1 cup chicken stock
– 2 tsp dried oregano
– Salt and pepper, to taste
– Olive oil, for cooking

Method

1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown the pork pieces until they are golden on all sides.
2. Remove the pork from the pot and add onions, garlic, and bell peppers. Sauté until the vegetables soften.
3. Pour in the orange juice, honey, and chicken stock, stirring to combine everything.
4. Add the browned pork back to the pot with the oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a simmer and cover.
5. Cook on low heat for about 1.5 hours, until the meat is tender and flavorful.
