Ingredients
200 g edible gum
2 cups rolled oats
1 cup chopped nuts (like almonds or cashews)
3/4 cup jaggery or brown sugar
1/2 cup ghee
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 cup grated coconut (optional)
1 cup raisins or dried fruits
Pinch of salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Method
Begin by breaking the edible gum into small pieces and heating it in a pan over low heat. Stir until it melts and becomes sticky.
Add ghee into the melted gum, mixing well for a couple of minutes.
In another pan, roast the rolled oats and chopped nuts on medium heat until they turn slightly brown and fragrant.
Combine the roasted oats and nuts with the melted mixture. Stir in the jaggery or brown sugar, cardamom powder, salt, and vanilla extract until everything is well mixed.
Shape the mixture into small round balls and let them cool completely before serving.
