Goan Tendli Bhaji Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups tendli (ivygourd), chopped
2 tablespoons oil
1 teaspoon mustard seeds
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 medium onion, sliced
2 green chilies, chopped
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
1 tablespoon grated coconut
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Method
1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them crackle.
2. Mix in cumin seeds, followed by the sliced onions and chopped green chilies. Sauté until onions turn golden.
3. Add the chopped tendli along with turmeric powder and salt. Stir well to combine.
4. Cover the pan and cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the tendli is tender.
5. Sprinkle grated coconut on top and drizzle with lemon juice. Give it a gentle stir before serving.
