Ingredients
– 250 g fresh French beans
– 1 tablespoon oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon urad dal
– 1 onion, finely chopped
– 2 green chilies, slit
– 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
– Salt to taste
– 1 tablespoon grated coconut
– Fresh coriander leaves, chopped
Method
1. Wash the French beans and cut them into small pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and add mustard seeds.
3. Once the seeds start to pop, add urad dal and sauté until golden.
4. Add the chopped onion and green chilies, cooking until the onion turns soft.
5. Stir in the beans along with turmeric and salt. Cover the pan and cook for 8-10 minutes until the beans are tender. Finally, mix in the coconut and coriander leaves.
