- 1 cup gingerbread cookie crumbs
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup crushed nuts (like pecans or walnuts)
- 1/4 cup sprinkles (optional)
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder (for dusting)
Method
- Combine the gingerbread cookie crumbs, softened cream cheese, cinnamon, nutmeg, and powdered sugar in a bowl.
- Mix the ingredients thoroughly until a dough forms. Use your hands if needed to combine everything well.
- Shape the mixture into small balls and place them on a tray lined with baking paper. Freeze the balls for about 20 minutes.
- While the balls freeze, melt the dark chocolate chips and vegetable oil together in a microwave or over a double boiler.
- Dip the chilled balls into the melted chocolate. Roll them in crushed nuts or sprinkles if desired. Finally, dust with cocoa powder before serving.
