Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
1 cup brown sugar
2 tsp ground ginger
2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ cup buttermilk
â…“ cup unsulfured molasses
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a donut pan.
Mix together the flour, brown sugar, ginger, cinnamon, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, whisk the buttermilk, molasses, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
Combine the wet and dry ingredients. Stir until just mixed.
Pour the batter into the donut pan and bake for 10-12 minutes.
