Ingredients
2 cups of chopped apples
1 teaspoon of lemon juice
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 teaspoon of baking soda
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of vegetable oil
2 large eggs
2 cups of flour
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 23 cm (9-inch) round cake pan.
Mix the chopped apples with lemon juice, cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
In another bowl, combine brown sugar, vegetable oil, and eggs until smooth.
Stir the apple mixture into the wet ingredients. Gradually fold in the flour until everything is mixed well.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 40 to 45 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean.
