Ingredients
– 1.5 kg beef pot roast
– 1 tablespoon olive oil
– 2 cups onions, sliced
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 500 ml beef broth
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– 2 cups carrots, cut into pieces
– 2 cups potatoes, quartered
Method
1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
2. Brown the beef on all sides, then remove it from the pot and set it aside.
3. Add sliced onions and minced garlic to the pot. Cook until they become soft.
4. Pour in beef broth, and stir in thyme, rosemary, and Worcestershire sauce. Return the beef to the pot.
5. Add carrots and potatoes. Bring everything to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for about 3 hours.
