Focaccia Recipe
Ingredients
500 g plain flour
10 g instant yeast
10 g salt
300 ml warm water
60 ml olive oil (plus extra for drizzling)
Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme)
Sea salt flakes
Method
1. Mix the flour, yeast, and salt in a large bowl.
2. Pour in the warm water and olive oil, then stir until a dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth.
4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise for 1 hour until doubled in size.
5. Spread the dough onto a baking tray, press fingers into the surface, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and herbs, then bake in a 220°C oven for 20-25 minutes until golden.
