Ingredients
– 4 croissants, cut into pieces
– 4 large eggs
– 500 ml eggnog
– 60 g sugar
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 tsp ground cinnamon
– 1/4 tsp nutmeg
– 100 g raisins (optional)
– Butter, for greasing
– Powdered sugar, for serving
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a baking dish with butter.
2. Place the croissant pieces into the prepared dish and sprinkle the raisins over them, if using.
3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, eggnog, sugar, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
4. Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissants, making sure all pieces are soaked.
5. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
