Delicious Eggless Yoghurt Sponge Cake Recipe For Everyone

Ingredients

– 1 cup plain yoghurt
– 1 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 2 cups plain flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 cup milk
– Optional: powdered sugar for dusting

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the yoghurt, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Mix well until combined.
3. Sift together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a separate bowl. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients. Stir until just combined.
4. Pour in the milk and mix until the batter is smooth. Be careful not to overmix.
5. Transfer the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
