Ingredients
1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon cornstarch
Method
Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt. Mix well.
Add softened butter, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Stir until you have a smooth dough.
Scoop small amounts of dough and shape them into balls. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, spaced apart.
Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden. Allow them to cool before serving.
