Ingredients

Method
1. Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions in a large pot of boiling salted water. Drain once done.
2. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
3. Stir in the canned tomatoes, dried oregano, and sugar. Allow the mixture to simmer for about 10 minutes.
4. Mix in the fresh basil, then season with salt and pepper as needed.
5. Toss the cooked spaghetti with the sauce. Serve with grated cheese on top.
