Ingredients
– 1 whole chicken (about 1.5 kg)
– 250 g abalone (canned or fresh)
– 2 liters water
– 2 cups mushrooms (sliced)
– 1 onion (quartered)
– 3 cloves garlic (minced)
– 2 slices ginger
– 2 tablespoons soy sauce
– Salt (to taste)
– Spring onions (for garnish)
Method
1. Rinse the whole chicken under cold water and place it in a large pot.
2. Add the water, onion, ginger, and garlic to the pot. Bring to a boil on medium heat.
3. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 40 minutes.
4. After that, add the mushrooms and abalone, then stir in soy sauce and salt to taste.
5. Cook for an additional 10 minutes, then serve hot, garnished with spring onions.
