Delicious Doodh Jhinge Curry: Ridge Gourd Cooked In Milk Recipe

Ingredients

– 300 g ridge gourd, peeled and cut into cubes
– 2 cups milk
– 1 tablespoon ghee or oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1 green chili, chopped
– Fresh coriander leaves, for garnish

Method

1. Heat the ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat.
2. Add the mustard seeds and cumin seeds, letting them crackle for a few seconds.
3. Stir in the chopped green chili and turmeric powder, mixing well.
4. Add the ridge gourd cubes and cook for about 5 minutes, or until softened.
5. Pour in the milk, salt, and sugar, simmer for 10 minutes. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
