Delicious Dahi Bhindi: Okra In Yogurt Curry With Onions

Ingredients

  • 500 g okra, chopped
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt, to taste
  • Oil, for frying
  • Cilantro, for garnish

Method

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add the sliced onions. Fry until golden brown, then set aside.
  2. In the same pan, add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add the chopped okra, turmeric, and salt. Cook until the okra is tender.
  4. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, and coriander powder. Stir well.
  5. Combine the okra mixture with the yogurt. Serve warm, topped with fried onions and garnish with cilantro.
