Ingredients
– 500 g minced beef
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 700 ml pasta sauce
– 300 g ricotta cheese
– 400 g mozzarella cheese, shredded
– 9 lasagna sheets
– 50 ml water
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. In a large skillet, brown the minced beef over medium heat with the chopped onion and garlic until the meat is cooked through.
2. Stir in the pasta sauce, oregano, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce at the bottom of the slow cooker. Place three lasagna sheets on top.
4. Add half of the ricotta and half of the mozzarella over the noodles. Pour one-third of the remaining meat sauce on top.
5. Repeat the layers, finishing with the last of the meat sauce and remaining mozzarella on top. Pour 50 ml of water around the edges of the slow cooker. Cook on low for 4 hours.
