Creamed Corn Recipe
Ingredients
400 g corn kernels (fresh, frozen, or canned)
60 g butter
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
240 ml milk
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Method
Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over medium heat.
Add the flour and stir for about 1 minute to create a smooth paste.
Pour in the milk slowly, whisking constantly to avoid lumps.
Mix in the corn, sugar, salt, pepper, onion powder, and garlic powder.
Cook while stirring until the mixture thickens, then remove from heat and stir in the chopped parsley.
