Ingredients
– 500 g fresh cranberries
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 cup water
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup chopped nuts (such as walnuts or pecans)
– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
– 1 tablespoon butter
– 1 cup Greek yogurt
Method
1. Rinse the cranberries under cold water and remove any stems or damaged fruit.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine water and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
3. Add the cranberries to the saucepan along with the lemon juice, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Simmer for about 10 minutes until the cranberries burst and the sauce thickens.
4. Stir in the chopped nuts and butter, then let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
5. Serve the cranberry sauce over Greek yogurt for a tasty treat.
