Delicious Coriander Tamarind Millet Rice Recipe For Healthy Meals

Ingredients

– 1 cup millet
– 2 cups water
– 1 tablespoon oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 green chilies, chopped
– 1 cup coriander leaves, chopped
– 2 tablespoons tamarind paste
– Salt, to taste

Method

1. Rinse the millet in cold water and drain it well.
2. Heat the oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and cumin seeds, frying until they pop.
3. Stir in the chopped onion and green chilies, cooking until the onion turns soft.
4. Add the millet to the pan along with the water, tamarind paste, coriander leaves, and salt. Bring everything to a boil.
5. Once boiling, reduce the heat, cover the pan, and let it simmer for 20 minutes or until the millet is cooked through.
