– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest

Method
1. Pour the thickened cream into a mixing bowl. Use an electric mixer to whip it until soft peaks form.
2. Add the mascarpone cheese, icing sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest. Mix on low speed until combined.
3. Increase speed and whip mixture until it is thick and smooth. Be careful not to over-mix.
4. Serve the whipped cream with waffles. Top with fresh fruit, chopped nuts, or chocolate sauce if desired.
5. Dust with extra icing sugar for a nice finish before serving.
