Ingredients
– 2 cups fresh grated coconut
– 1 ½ cups sugar
– 1 cup milk
– ½ cup milk powder
– ½ teaspoon cardamom powder
– 1 tablespoon ghee (clarified butter)
– A pinch of salt
– ½ cup chopped nuts (like almonds or cashews)
– Additional ghee for greasing the tray
Method
1. Grease a square tray with a little ghee and set aside.
2. In a pan, combine grated coconut, sugar, and milk. Stir these ingredients over medium heat.
3. Cook the mixture while stirring until it thickens, about 10 to 15 minutes.
4. Add milk powder, cardamom powder, salt, and chopped nuts. Mix well and cook for another 5 minutes.
5. Pour the mixture into the tray and flatten it evenly. Let it cool, then cut into squares.
