Cinnamon Rolls Recipe
Ingredients
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 packet instant yeast (about 7g)
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup icing sugar
Method
Warm the milk in a saucepan until it is lukewarm. Combine the yeast, sugar, and warm milk in a bowl and let it sit for about 5 minutes.
In another bowl, mix the flour, butter, eggs, and salt until it forms a dough. Knead the dough on a floured surface for a few minutes until smooth.
After the dough rises, roll it out into a rectangle. Spread butter on the dough and sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon evenly across.
Roll the dough tightly into a log shape and cut it into 12 equal pieces. Place the pieces in a greased baking dish and let them rise again for 30 minutes.
Bake the cinnamon rolls in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool slightly and drizzle icing sugar mixed with a bit of water over the top.
