Ingredients
– 125 g butter, softened
– 3/4 cup sugar
– 1/2 cup brown sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 tsp baking soda
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 1 cup chocolate chips
– 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
4. Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt. Once mixed, fold in the chocolate chips and nuts if using.
5. Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared tray and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden.
