Ingredients
– 6 cups of stale bread, cubed
– 1 cup of milk
– 1 cup of cream
– 1 cup of sugar
– 4 eggs
– 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– 1/2 teaspoon of nutmeg
– 1/2 cup of raisins
– 1/2 cup of chopped nuts
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a large bowl, combine the milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Whisk until everything is blended well.
3. Add the cubed bread to the mixture and stir gently until all the bread is soaked.
4. Fold in the raisins and chopped nuts for extra flavor.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
