Ingredients
– 1 box chocolate cake mix
– 1 cup water
– 1/2 cup vegetable oil
– 3 large eggs
– 1 cup chocolate chips
– 1 can (400 g) cherry pie filling
– 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
– 1 cup powdered sugar
– 1/2 cup milk
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a baking dish.
2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Mix thoroughly until smooth.
3. Pour the batter into the greased baking dish. Spread it out evenly.
4. Add the cherry pie filling on top. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts if using.
5. Bake in the oven for around 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
