Ingredients
– 125 g butter, softened
– 150 g brown sugar
– 50 g white sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 250 g plain flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– 100 g chocolate chips
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line a muffin tray with paper liners.
2. In a bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Next, add the egg and vanilla extract to the bowl, mixing well to combine.
4. Gradually stir in the plain flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms. Lastly, fold in the chocolate chips.
5. Spoon the batter into the prepared muffin tray, filling each liner about two-thirds full, then bake for 18 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
