Ingredients
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 large eggs
2 1/4 cups plain flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup chocolate chips
4 cups vanilla ice cream
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Prepare baking trays with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix the softened butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth.
3. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Stir until combined, then gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt.
4. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
5. Scoop the dough onto the prepared trays, spacing them out. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown. Let them cool completely before assembling.
