Chocolate Carrot Cake Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups grated carrots
1 cup plain flour
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 large eggs
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup chopped walnuts
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease and flour a 22 cm round cake tin.
In a large bowl, mix together grated carrots, flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
In another bowl, whisk the eggs, oil, baking powder, and baking soda.
Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients, and then fold in the walnuts.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and bake for 30-35 minutes.
