Delicious Chicken Pot Pie With Puff Pastry Recipe To Savor

Ingredients

– 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
– 1 cup frozen mixed vegetables
– 1 cup chicken broth
– 1 small onion, diced
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tablespoons butter
– 1 teaspoon dried thyme
– 1 sheet puff pastry
– 1 egg, beaten
– Salt and pepper to taste

Method

1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Sauté the onion and garlic until soft.
3. Stir in the mixed vegetables, shredded chicken, chicken broth, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer the mixture for 5 minutes.
4. Pour the chicken mixture into a pie dish. Roll out the puff pastry and place it on top of the filling. Cut a few slits in the pastry to let steam out.
5. Brush the pie with beaten egg and bake for around 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
