Ingredients
– 500 g chicken gizzards
– 250 ml water
– 1 onion, chopped
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp vegetable oil
– 1 tsp ground black pepper
– 1 tsp salt
– 1 bay leaf
– 1 cup diced carrots
Method
1. Rinse the chicken gizzards under cold water and trim any excess fat.
2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pot over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is soft.
3. Place the gizzards in the pot and stir them with the onions and garlic. Cook for about 5 minutes until they start to brown.
4. Pour in the water, add soy sauce, salt, pepper, carrots, and the bay leaf. Bring the mixture to a boil.
5. Cover the pot, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for 40 minutes until the gizzards are tender.
