- 8 chicken drumsticks

Method
1. Start by marinating the chicken drumsticks in a bowl. Combine soy sauce, vinegar, water, minced garlic, and black pepper. Cover and let them sit for at least 30 minutes.
2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Once hot, add the marinated chicken along with the marinade mixture.
3. Toss in the bay leaves and sugar. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low.
4. Cover the pan and let it simmer for about 30 minutes. Stir occasionally so the chicken cooks evenly.
5. Once the chicken is cooked and tender, serve it hot with rice or vegetables.
