Ingredients
– 125 g butter, softened
– 1 cup sugar
– 1 large egg
– 1 tsp vanilla extract
– 2 cups plain flour
– 1 tsp baking powder
– 1/2 tsp salt
– Extra sugar for rolling
– 1 tsp milk (if needed)
Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking tray with baking paper.
2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy in a bowl.
3. Add the egg and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
4. Combine the flour, baking powder, and salt in another bowl, then gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture. Stir until a dough forms.
5. Roll the dough into small balls, coat them in extra sugar, and place them on the baking tray. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
