Ingredients
– 1 sheet of puff pastry
– 1 cup of shredded cheese
– 1/2 cup of pesto
– 1 egg
– 1 tablespoon of milk
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste
– Optional: 1/2 cup of sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
– Optional: 1/4 cup of pine nuts
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
2. Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into rectangles.
3. Spread pesto evenly over each rectangle and sprinkle cheese on top.
4. If desired, add sun-dried tomatoes and pine nuts on top of the cheese.
5. Fold the pastry to create a fan shape, brush with the egg and milk mixture, then season with salt and pepper. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
