Ingredients
– 800 g lamb ribs
– ½ cup almonds, blanched
– 1 large onion, chopped
– 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
– 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
– 1 tsp cumin seeds
– 1 tsp coriander powder
– ½ tsp turmeric powder
– 1 cup water
– 2 tbsp cooking oil
Method
1. Begin by soaking the blanched almonds in hot water for about 15 minutes.
2. After soaking, blend the almonds into a smooth paste using a little water if needed.
3. Heat oil in a large pot and add cumin seeds. Once they crackle, stir in chopped onions and cook until golden.
4. Mix in ginger-garlic paste, followed by chopped tomatoes, coriander powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
5. Add lamb ribs and water. Cover and simmer until the meat is tender. Stir in the almond paste, mixing well before serving.
