Method
1. Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the sugar and eggs until they are well combined.
3. Stir in buttermilk, melted butter, vanilla extract, and salt into the mixture.
4. Gradually add the flour, mixing until just combined. Pour the batter into the unbaked pie crust.
5. Bake for about 40–45 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Sprinkle with nutmeg if desired and let it cool before serving.
