Ingredients
400 g firm tofu
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 cup buffalo sauce
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup plant milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
Cooking oil for frying
Method
Start by pressing the tofu for around 20 minutes to remove excess moisture. Cut it into four even slices.
Set up three bowls: one with flour, one with plant milk mixed with garlic and onion powder, and one with breadcrumbs, salt, and pepper.
Dip each slice of tofu first in the flour, then in the milk mixture, and finally coat it in breadcrumbs.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and add enough cooking oil to cover the bottom.
Fry the tofu cutlets for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they are golden and crispy. Pour buffalo sauce over the cutlets and cook for another minute.
