Ingredients
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 1 ½ cups sugar
– ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
– 1 ½ tsp baking powder
– 1 ½ tsp baking soda
– 1 tsp salt
– 2 large eggs
– 1 cup milk
– ½ cup vegetable oil
– 2 tsp vanilla extract
– 1 cup boiling water
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease and flour two round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
3. Add in the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla. Mix for 2 minutes on medium speed until smooth.
4. Carefully stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin. Pour it evenly into the prepared pans.
5. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes. Insert a toothpick into the center of the cake; if it comes out clean, the cake is done. Let them cool before removing from pans.
