Brine Recipe for Chicken
Ingredients
750 ml water
125 g salt
125 g sugar
2 tablespoons black peppercorns
2 cloves garlic, crushed
1 tablespoon mustard seeds
1 tablespoon herbs (like thyme or rosemary)
250 ml apple cider vinegar
Ice cubes
Method
1. In a large pot, combine water, salt, and sugar. Stir until dissolved completely.
2. Add black peppercorns, crushed garlic, mustard seeds, and herbs to the pot.
3. Remove from heat and mix in apple cider vinegar. Let the mixture cool to room temperature.
4. Once cooled, place ice cubes in the brine to chill it down.
5. Submerge the chicken in the brine, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
