Ingredients

– 1.5 kg beef chuck
– 2 cups beef broth
– 1 cup chopped onions
– 1 cup chopped carrots
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 tbsp tomato paste
– 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
– 1 tsp dried thyme
– 1 tsp salt
– 1/2 tsp black pepper

Method

1. Preheat a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and brown it on all sides.
2. Remove the beef and set it aside. In the same pot, add onions, carrots, and garlic. Cook until the onions are soft.
3. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix everything well.
4. Pour in the beef broth and bring it to a boil. Place the beef back into the pot.
5. Cover the pot and reduce the heat. Let it simmer for about 3 hours until the beef is tender.
