Delicious Bostock Recipe: A Perfectly Toasted Almond Treat

Ingredients

1 cup sliced almonds
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg
1 cup milk
4 slices of day-old brioche or challah bread
1/4 cup orange marmalade
Powdered sugar for dusting

Method

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix the softened butter, sugar, almond slices, vanilla, and egg until smooth.
Dip each slice of bread into milk briefly, then spread orange marmalade on one side.
Place the bread on the baking sheet and top with the almond mixture.
Bake for 15–20 minutes or until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
