Ingredients

– 1 cup rice flour
– 1 cup thick yogurt

– 1 teaspoon green chili paste
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
– 1 teaspoon sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 1/4 cup water

Method

1. Start by mixing the rice flour, yogurt, ginger paste, green chili paste, salt, turmeric powder, sugar, and water in a bowl. Combine everything until smooth.
2. Add baking soda to the mixture and stir gently. Let the batter sit for 10 minutes so it can rise a little.
3. While waiting, grease a steaming tray with oil. After 10 minutes, pour the batter into the tray and smooth it out.
4. Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Place the steaming tray inside the pot, cover it, and steam for about 15-20 minutes.
5. Remove the tray once cooked, let it cool slightly, and cut the dhokla into pieces. Enjoy with chutney or sauce.
