Ingredients
– 500g beef skirt or flank steak, thinly sliced
– 3 tbsp soy sauce
– 2 tbsp mirin
– 1 tbsp sugar
– 1 tbsp sesame oil
– 1 garlic clove, minced
– 1 tsp ginger, grated
– 1 spring onion, sliced
– 1 tbsp sesame seeds
– Cooked rice, for serving
Method
1. Begin by mixing soy sauce, mirin, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger in a bowl to create a marinade.
2. Add the thinly sliced beef to the bowl, making sure each piece is well-coated. Cover and let it marinate in the fridge for about 30 minutes.
3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the marinated beef in batches and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned.
4. Once cooked, transfer the beef to a plate and sprinkle it with spring onions and sesame seeds.
5. Serve the beef over cooked rice for a delicious meal.
