Ingredients
– 500 g pork belly, sliced
– 1 small onion, diced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 1 L water
– 100 g noodles (egg noodles recommended)
– 1 tablespoon fish sauce
– 1 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon pepper
– 2 boiled eggs, halved
– 2 green onions, chopped
Method
1. Begin by heating a pot over medium heat. Add pork belly pieces and cook until they turn slightly brown.
2. Toss in the diced onion and minced garlic. Stir and cook until the onion becomes translucent.
3. Pour in the water, and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, lower the heat and let it simmer for about 30 minutes.
4. After 30 minutes, add the noodles, fish sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 5 minutes or until the noodles are tender.
5. Serve the soup hot, and top each bowl with halved boiled eggs and chopped green onions.
