Delicious Bangers And Mash With Rich Onion Gravy Recipe

Ingredients

– 8 sausages
– 1 kg potatoes
– 1 cup milk
– 4 tablespoons butter
– 2 onions
– 2 tablespoons flour
– 2 cups beef stock
– 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
– Salt to taste
– Pepper to taste

Method

1. Cook the sausages in a frying pan over medium heat for about 15 minutes until browned. Flip them occasionally.
2. While the sausages are cooking, peel and chop the potatoes into equal pieces. Then, boil them in salted water for around 20 minutes until soft.
3. Slice the onions thinly. Once the sausages are done, remove them from the pan and add the onions. Cook until they are golden.
4. Stir in flour with the onions. Gradually add the beef stock and Worcestershire sauce, stirring constantly until the gravy thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Drain the potatoes, then mash them with milk and butter until creamy. Serve the sausages on top of the mash, with gravy poured over.
