Ingredients
– 500g penne pasta
– 400g ground beef
– 1 onion, chopped
– 2 cloves garlic, minced
– 800g diced tomatoes
– 250g ricotta cheese
– 300g mozzarella cheese, shredded
– 30g grated parmesan cheese
– 1 teaspoon dried oregano
– Salt and pepper to taste
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. Cook the penne pasta in a large pot according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
3. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic until soft. Add the ground beef and cook until browned.
4. Stir in the diced tomatoes, oregano, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
5. Mix the penne pasta with the meat sauce and ricotta cheese. Pour the mixture into a baking dish. Top with mozzarella and parmesan cheese. Bake for 30 minutes or until bubbly.
