Ingredients
– 4 ripe pears
– 60 ml maple syrup
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 50 g chopped walnuts
– 50 g raisins
– 250 ml water
– Fresh mint leaves (for serving, optional)
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 190°C.
2. Cut the pears in half and remove the core with a spoon.
3. Place the pear halves in a baking dish, cut side up.
4. In a bowl, mix maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Drizzle this mixture over the pears.
5. Sprinkle walnuts and raisins on top. Pour the water into the baking dish. Bake for 30 minutes until the pears are tender.
