Ingredients
– 400 g asparagus
– 2 tablespoons oil
– 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
– 1 teaspoon urad dal (split black gram)
– 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
– 1-2 green chilies (chopped)
– 1 tablespoon grated coconut
– Salt (to taste)
– 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
– Lemon juice (to taste)
Method
1. Start by washing the asparagus and cutting it into bite-sized pieces.
2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
3. Stir in urad dal and cumin seeds. Cook until the dal turns golden brown.
4. Add the chopped green chilies, turmeric powder, and asparagus pieces. Mix well and cook for about 5-7 minutes.
5. Finally, stir in salt, grated coconut, and a splash of lemon juice before serving.
