Ingredients
2 cups plain flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 large eggs
1 cup buttermilk
2 cups apple filling (cooked and cooled)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Method
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Grease three 20 cm round cake pans.
2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt. Mix them well to ensure an even blend.
3. Add the softened butter, eggs, and buttermilk to the dry mixture. Beat everything until the batter is smooth and creamy.
4. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
5. Once baked, let the cakes cool before layering with apple filling and frosting. Serve and enjoy.
